Attack on Libya is for the protection of the people: Obama

Obama said that American troops will not engage in ground battles and said that United State’s involvement in the war will be limited.The Libyan Prime Minister contacted the United Nations General Secretary to call for an emergency meeting for a ceasefire. Libyan President Muammar Gaddafi while addressing the nation said that the United States and its allies have attacked the country after the announcement of a ceasefire. He said that the bases of the US and its allies will be attacked. Gaddafi said that the people should contribute in defending their country. The government will provide the people with weapons.
