Summary A gunman shot two US soldiers dead at Frankfurt airport on Wednesday, regional authorities said, adding that they were not ruling out a possible terrorist link.
The gunman, who left two others seriously injured, was apparently a Kosovo national, said the interior minister for the state of Hesse, Boris Rhein. Whether the incident was linked to terrorism I cannot say at this stage, he told journalists.A spokesman for Frankfurt airport operator Fraport said the incident happened in a US Army bus in front of Terminal 2.The US Army and Air Force as well as German police at the airport were not immediately available for comment.
