Saudi prince offered freedom for USD6 bn, claims US newspaper

NEW YORK CITY (Dunya News) – American newspaper the Wall Street Journal has claimed that detained Saudi Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal has been offered freedom for $US6 billion by the authorities.

Prince Talal’s close friends have informed about the bargain. The newspaper has claimed that the 62-year-old prince is ready to pay this price to get himself out of custody.

Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal was arrested last month over corruption charges among other important personalities, and has been kept in Riyadh’s luxury hotel The Ritz-Carlton.

It has been learnt that the arrested prince is at 57th spot in the list of world’s wealthiest people and his assets are estimated to be $US18 billion.
