Summary Thousands of people gathered in the capital city, Sana'a to take part in the anti government protest outside the Sanaa University.
The opposition party called for a rally after rejecting the offer made by the president for a coalition government. The protesters called for President Ali Abdullah Saleh to resign. Opposition leader Mohammed Saleh al-Qubati advised the president to resign rather than offering such propositions.In his quest to remain in power, President Ali Abdullah Saleh was shocked when the leader of the second largest party in the country also advised him to resign.
