The 31 men were held guilty of murder, attempt to murder, dacoity, robbery and arson.In 2002 in the city of Godhra in Gujrat, a train cabin was set on fire leaving 59 people aboard dead. The people arrested in this case were mostly Muslims. The Godhra train burning sparked the worst riots since partition with at least 1,000 people being killed, mostly Muslims.
