Summary The opposition members marched to Tripoli and they claim to have taken control of few parts of the city. After which Gaddafi ordered his supporters to prepare for war. At least five people were killed when security forces opened fire on anti-government protesters in the Janzour district in the west of the Libyan capital on Friday. While on the other side tens of thousands of demonstrators attended Friday prayers in the square in order to put pressure on Egypt's new military rules to follow through on promises of reform.

The violence came after anti-Gaddafi protesters took control of several towns close to Tripoli following a rebellion centered in the city of Benghazi that removed much of eastern Libya from Gaddafis control. Fighting has erupted outside Tripoli in the past 24 hours, but Fridays clashes came during the first anti-Gaddafi protests in the capital since 22nd February 2011. In Tripoli, hundreds of protesters at the Slatnah Mosque in the Shargia district of Janzour were chanting anti-Gaddafi slogans.According to some reports Gaddafi supporters have even gone into hospitals to kill wounded opponents. Opposition also said that Gaddafi’s regime is on its verge and this revolution will end in Tripoli. Gaddafi while addressing supporters said that if needed, we will provide arms to fight the miscreants. He also said that once again a war for Libya’s freedom is going to begin. While on the other side one month after the Egyptian revolution began demonstrators demand ministers appointed by ousted President Mubarak step down. Tens of thousands of demonstrators attended Friday prayers in the square in order to put pressure on Egypts new military rules to follow through on promises of reform. The demonstrators are demanding that a cabinet of ministers appointed by Hosni Mubarak step down, and that political prisoners be released and the countrys long-standing Emergency Law be voided.
