Summary About a dozen of protesters gathered in front of the Eiffel Tower on Friday calling on the G20 to take action to freeze the assets of former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and hand them over to the people of Egypt.
Protesters made a golden pyramid with cardboard boxes and one of them wore a Pharaoh costume in a bid to get Mubaraks reported $70 billion assets frozen and returned to the people of Egypt.We are here because one week ago President Mubarak left power in Egypt, he has taken up to 70 billion of dollars of the Egyptian peoples money and we want the G20 finance ministers to freeze his assets, capture his properties so the money can be returned to the Egyptian people, protest organiser Alex Wilks said.The pyramid had the words Freeze Mubaraks billions now written across it and protesters held boards with the number 452371 representing the signatures gathered on a petition they drew up, asking the G20 to take action to freeze the former presidents assets and disperse Mubaraks billions to the people.
