Summary A suicide attack in Afghanistan's capital Kabul kills at least two people and injures several others.
An insurgent detonated his explosives at the entrance to the Safi Landmark Hotel in Afghanistans capital -- leaving a pile of shattered glass and mangled metal. One eyewitness says two people took part in the attack. Initial reports say two security guards were killed in the bombing, but an unnamed police official said the blast killed three. Violence in Afghanistan has reached its highest levels since the 2001 ouster of the Taliban. Mondays assault comes barely two weeks after a suicide bomber struck a supermarket in the heart of the citys diplomatic district, killing at least nine people.
