India-Bangladesh border land dispute resolved
Updated on

Summary Bangladesh and India have agreed to resolve their all existing border problems. India will give 10,000 acres of border land to Bangladesh.

Both the countries have claim over 6.5 kilometres of undemarcated borders. Again, Bangladesh and India have kept each others land in their possessions, which is termed as adverse possession of land. The joint boundary working group in November last year decided to carry out a survey to measure the quantity of land under adverse possession. Besides, Bangladesh has 111 enclaves inside India while Bangladesh houses 55 enclaves.
