US officials have confirmed that more than 25 Pakistanis are being held in Afghan jails, according to a report, before the report, US has always rejected the detention of any Pakistani in Afghan jails. A US spokesman at Bagram said that under 50 of their detainees were neither US nor Afghan nationals and that slightly more than half of these are Pakistanis. The spokesperson said that US has not given any date of their release but he is hopeful about their release. He further said that 94 Pakistanis have been released from Afghan jails.
