Summary Modi has apparently sworn to never speak the truth, said Rahul Gandhi
NEW DELHI (Dunya News) – Amid international criticism over violence in Kashmir and pressure from Pakistan over false surgical strike claims, vice-president of Indian National Congress, Rahul Gandhi has criticised premier of India, Narendra Modi on Thursday.
In an address in Uttar Pradesh to a farmers’ rally, Gandhi said that Modi was hiding behind the blood of the soldiers. He said that the Indian Prime Minister was carrying out politics over bloodshed.
He said that Modi has apparently sworn to never speak the truth. Indian premier was making a constant effort to sway people’s attention from basic issues by misleading them, he said. Rahul Gandhi censured Modi by saying that productive politics could not be exercised through elimination of brotherhood and spreading hatred.
Chairperson of Indian Youth Congress, Gandhi said that Modi was attempting to expand his tenure in the government by resorting to politics of hatred.
Analysts have welcomed Gandhi’s speech as a testimony to Narendra Modi’s anti-peace politics that did not jeopardize 19th Summit of SAARC that was to be held in Islamabad in November but also made Afghanistan follow its suit creating hurdles for Pakistan among other countries regarding reconciliation process.
Gandhi’s speech has come in the same month when under auspices of Modi administration, Indian DGMO claimed of carrying out surgical strike across Line of Control only to get refuting evidence by media cell of Pakistan Army and different news agencies across the globe.
