SRINAGAR (Web Desk) - In occupied Kashmir, in a deeply embarrassing moment for puppet Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, Indian flag known as tricolour fell off the post as she hoisted it at Bakshi Stadium where the main Independence Day function was held today (Monday).
According to Kashmir Media Service, Mehbooba, who was hoisting the Indian flag as chief guest for the first time, pulled the string attached to the post only to see the tricolour fall from the post and land on the ground.
Amid the embarrassing situation, two personnel from the security detail of the puppet Chief Minister held the flag in their hands till Mehbooba gave the ceremonial salute to the flag.
As Mehbooba left the stage for inspecting the contingents of the police and paramilitary forces, the security staff at the Bakhshi Stadium hurriedly hoisted it atop the post.
Mehbooba directed police officials to suspend the erring officers responsible for the embarrassment she faced.
