NATO supply route through Pakistan is essential: US State Dept

Pakistan blocked the main Nato supply route into Afghanistan this morning after repeated incursions by NATO helicopters over the past week. US State Department said that we support the democratic government in Pakistan and the supply route of NATO forces through Pakistan is very important.During a briefing, the US State Department told that there can be other routes for NATO supplies as well. US is still determined to increase the strengthening capacity of Pakistani government. It was also stated in the briefing that Pakistani nation has proved that they support democracy rather than dictatorship. US is in constant contact with political and military leaderships of Pakistan.
