NAGPUR (Web Desk) – Three people in India were arrested by the Maharashtra Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) on Saturday who were trying to join the terrorist outfit Daesh.

According to details, Telangana Police and Maharashtra Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) conducted a joint operation and detained the trio right before they were about to board an Indigo flight to Srinagar from the Nagpur airport after arriving from Hyderabad a day before by road. 

The suspects were arrested on the request of the Hyderabad police and were later handed over to the Telangana ATS.

All three youth were aged between 20 to 25 years.

Out of three, two were intercepted earlier also on their way to Afghanistan by intelligence agencies.

Last week, a 16-year-old college girl, who was allegedly in touch with arrested Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) executive Mohammed Sirajuddin, was put under surveillance for her suspected links with the Daesh in Pune.
