US President Barack Obama and his family headed to Panama City Beach in Florida for a family vacation. The Obama family spent a weekend holidaying in the Gulf of Mexico. Mr Obama and his wife Michelle and oldest daughter Sasha were staying in Panama City Beach in a bid to encourage more Americans to take their holidays in the disaster struck region.During their stay, the Obama family took a ride on the calm waters of St Andrews Bay. Speaking to the press in a bid to promote the Gulf as a viable holiday destination, Mr Obama said that the beaches are clean and the area is open for business. He added that Americans would be able to support those struggling in the region as well as visit a beautiful place.
