United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon urged the need for a world free of nuclear weapons.Ban Ki-moon made the remarks during the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Ceremony held in Japan. Ban has taken up the banner of nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation, and has made it a top priority. Ban also urged President Obama to visit the nuclear effected areas of Japan.It is pertinent to mention that at least 200,000 people were killed in Nagasaki and Hiroshima nuclear bomb attacks by US in August 1945.
