Women in Paschimi Medinipur District of West Bengal accuse paramilitary personnel of raping many rural women in their area and lodge a complaint with the Sub Divisional Officer at Jhargram.Corroborating their charges, several villagers claimed that paramilitary forces tortured them during the anti-Maoist operation and they allegedly raped about ten women in the village. The women had staged mass protest demonstrations over the past ten days and lamented that they didn't get help from the concerned authorities.
