The proceedings in the Bihar legislative assembly took a ugly turn when slippers were thrown at the Speaker of the Bihar Assembly. Speaker Udai Narain Choudhry suspended 17 MLAs including State RJD President Abdul Bari Siddiqui and RJD deputy leader in the Assembly Shakeel Ahmed Khan for the session for their unruly behavior. The opposition members were complaining of financial discrepancies. The MLAs disobeyed the directive of the Speaker to let the House function leading to their suspension.
