GLASGOW (AFP) - The pro-independence Scottish National Party won 56 out of 59 seats in Scotland in Britain s general election, final results showed on Friday, multiplying ninefold their current total of six MPs.
"Congratulations to our 56 MPs and thank you to everyone who has put their faith in the SNP," the party said in a tweet after the last constituency was announced.
