Belgium: 200 protesters held outside NATO headquarters

Summary Police have taken around 200 protesters in their custody who tried to enter NATO headquarters.

About 500 people from more than 10 European countries took part in the non-violent protest. They tried to storm into the fenced-off area around the headquarters, but failed.The protesters enchanted ‘NATO game over’ slogans and demanded withdrawal of NATO forces from Afghanistan.One of the protesters said, “NATO is the largest war organization in the world, and we are trying to stop its misbehavior”The action came ahead of next month’s NATO summit in Chicago.
