Summary Gujrat municipality passed a new order which limits cows and buffaloes to dung no more than 3 kgs.
AMRELI (Web Desk) – Municipality of district Amreli, Gujrat has announced a surprising new order which restricts cow and buffalo dung to be no more than 3 Kgs in a day, Indian media reports. While the calves will only be permitted to excrete 1 Kg per day.
While explaining the purpose of this order, an official stated that the excess of excretion by cattle is a violation of Narendra Modi’s Clean India project. Moreover, the written order by district administration also states that cows and buffaloes will be only allowed to excrete in specified areas.
Another interesting aspect of this order is that whoever violates the rule will be penalized by riding a donkey. A team has been arranged to weigh cow dung in this process.
