Summary A Barbie-themed café has opened in Taipei, Taiwan.
The establishment is the first that is officially based on Mattel s hugely popular plastic doll.
The senior manager of Mattel s Greater China division explained: "We picked Taiwan because theme restaurants are very popular and successful here.
"We are very confident that the Barbie Café can promote our brand image."
The pink-influenced café is said to have cost $1.7 million (£1.1 million).
Back in November, an unusual toilet-themed theme park launched in South Korea.
