Joshua K Pinney attempts identity theft, fails completely

The 30-year-old allegedly walked into a Bank of America in Des Moines, Washington and handed over an Oregon ID, stating that he needed a new debit card. He reportedly said he was on a business trip, and mentioned that he had recently been in an accident.Heres a look at the head-to-toe get-up Pinney was wearing:The branch manager immediately determined the disguise was fake, KOMO News reports, and called police. When authorities arrived, one officer reportedly inspected the Oregon ID, looked up at Pinney, and asked if he was seriously trying to pass as the man in the photograph.According to court documents, Pinney hung his head and said, I know. He allegedly said the ID had been given to him by his brothers friend, who had stolen it from a car. He also allegedly admitted that he had not actually been in an accident, and that his bandages and neck brace were just part of the disguise.Pinney blamed his girlfriend for coming up with the idea, police said. The man was charged with second-degree identity theft and he missed his court date on Thursday.Pinney may be in the running for worst disguise of the century, but hes not the clear winner. In May, a man held up a London liquor store wearing a pair of boxer shorts over his head, but his face was caught on surveillance camera through the leg hole.And in 2009, two would-be robbers tried to disguise themselves using only magic marker scrawled on their faces.
