Summary Travellers seeking well-rounded accommodation need look no further than Mexico's Tubo Hotel.

Surprisingly cosy, the pipes, which would otherwise be used as storm drains and sewers, are fitted out with a queen bed, storage, a nightlight and even have mountain views of Tepozitan.Owner Robb Anderson told the Daily Mail he found the pipes by chance and locals agreed to let him use them. The tubes were just lying there doing nothing so one day we asked if we could use them, they said yes so we decided to make a hotel, he said.He said the 20-pipe accommodation is hostel-style, but has attracted travellers of all budgets because of its novelty factor.
