Summary An eclectus parrot has flown home to Adelaide Zoo more than a day after disappearing.
Kai was being trained for free-flight on Thursday when he took the tuition too seriously and left the zoo precinct.About 30 hours later, the parrot was spotted by a visitor to the childrens zoo area, roosting next to chickens.Zookeepers said they were thrilled Kai was now safely back where he belonged.The parrot was given a health check by veterinary staff and got the all-clear.Kai is to be kept at the zoos animal health centre for a few days before again being trained for the the free-flight program.
