Summary Heavy rainfall has flooded homes in the picturesque Devon village of Clovelly.
Amateur footage from Clovelly in Devon shows a torrent of flood water flowing through the village and out to sea.Around two inches (5cm) of rain was said to have fallen during a 90-minute downpour this lunchtime, collecting in homes at the foot of the steep high street which runs through the village.Residents also reported a number of Clovellys famous cobbles were pulled up as the floodwater surged down towards the harbour.Home owners have already begun the clean-up operation, saying they expect the worst of the weather to have already come and gone in the historic fishing village, despite the Environment Agency placing more than 20 flood alerts and warnings in the South West this evening.
