Book stores across the island opened from 7:00 am so that people could buy the book before going to work. Customers showed up in Jobs signature black t-shirt and posted memorial messages for him onto a giant cardboard wall displayed in front of the store.Over 100,000 books were presold online in Taiwan ahead of official launch, making the biography the years most popular book so far, according to the publisher in Taiwan. The excitement surrounding the launch of Jobs biography also reached Manila, Philippines.At one of the largest book stores in the Philippine capital, Jobs hard-bound biography was prominently displayed in front of the shop.The authorized biography Steve Jobs, written by Isaacson, the former managing editor of Time magazine and current chief executive of the Aspen Institute, is currently the No. 1 best-seller on Amazons customer purchase list.Jobs, the charismatic co-founder and former chief executive of Apple Inc died on October 5 in Palo Alto, California at the age of 56. He is considered to be among the greatest American chief executives of his generation.
