Summary Thailand scientists claim that they have prepared a vaccine against Dengue.

More than 30 years of research has led scientists to a viable vaccine prototype against Dengue fever - the tropical disease spread to humans by infected female mosquitoes. The Thai scientists responsible say the vaccine can block the four principal Dengue virus strains in one shot. They say successful tests with monkeys, guinea pigs and mice show the vaccine is safe and effective. And director of the Center for Vaccine Development at Mahidol University, Dr. Sutee Yoksan says if clinical trials on humans prove just as successful, the vaccine could be available for commercial use in about ten years.
