Summary

Researchers believe they have come up with the answer as to why regularly working out helps us look and feel younger. A new study found endurance exercises - such as jogging or taking a spinning class - increases the number of stem cells in our muscles, which helps to rejuvenate them. Tests showed that lab rats who ran on a treadmill for just 20 minutes a day could increase stem cells by half. Endurance exercise also appeared to give the older rodents more get up and go.
