The discovery of a bone, which was said to belong to an ancestor of Tyrannosaurus Rex in Australia, gave evidence to the fact that some fearsome carnivore must have lived in the southern hemisphere.A 30 cm long hip bone was being discovered in Victoria in the Dinosaur Cove. Tyrannosaurus Rex dinosaurs had very distinctive hip bones. The discovered hip bones resembles with the tyrannosaur. Prior to this the fossils of the tyrannosaur were found only in the Northern hemisphere. So scientists claim it to be a very exciting discovery. The pubis bone that was discovered resembled very much with a rod.It is believed that the fossil discovered have come from an animal which could have been roughly around 10 feet long and more than 175 pounds weight. Though it was far smaller than the Tyrannosaurus Rex with which people are mostly familiar, but the bone structure was more or less same, claimed the scientists.
