Summary Michel van den Heuvel has once again refused to return to coach Pak hockey team.
The Pakistan Hockey Federation and Michel van den Heuvel have been at odds since the coach wanted to renegotiate his two-year contract citing various reasons, particularly in the wake of Pakistan’s Asian Games triumph. He has already made no secrets of his intentions not to return to Pakistan after his winter break. He had clearly hinted that he would not be continuing with his PHF job.Heuvel was hired as Pakistan’s coach in June after a dismal first half of the year for the country. He had signed a two-year contract, agreeing to coach the team until the 2012 Olympics. However, following the Asian Games triumph where Pakistan won gold, Heuvel is reconsidering his future and, instead, wants the team to train in the Netherlands.
