Australian footballs best supported club Sydney FC has fired chief executive Dirk Melton after complaints about his behavior toward staff. The A-League club said in a statement Monday thats Meltons contract had been terminated immediately after a unanimous decision by the board. It said the decision followed a number of formal complaints of a serious nature by employees. The complaints had been investigated and revealed behavior in Mr. Meltons management of staff which was completely unacceptable, the statement said. The club said Stefan Kamasz will take over as acting chief executive officer.Melton later denied any wrongdoing and said he would consider legal action.I will not be commenting on the circumstances that have purportedly given rise to the boards decision other than to deny strenuously any allegations that have been made against me suggesting that I have engaged in unacceptable management of staff or any other form of inappropriate behaviour, Melton said in a statement.I believe my excellent relationships with the vast majority of Sydney FCs staff speak for themselves.
