LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has introduced an advanced GPS player tracking system as part of its efforts to modernise training and improve player performance.
The new technology will be used to monitor players' fitness levels, while providing detailed data on their workload, movement and recovery during training and matches.
According to the PHF, the information collected through the GPS system will enable coaches and trainers to design personalised training programmes for each player based on individual performance and fitness needs.
The federation said the technology is also expected to help reduce the risk of injuries and enhance overall player performance through data-driven training and workload management.
Following its successful implementation with the senior national team, the PHF plans to expand the GPS tracking system to junior national teams and development squads as part of its long-term player development strategy.
