LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has appointed renowned Dutch coach Herman Kruis as the national hockey coaching adviser as part of its efforts to revive and develop the country's national sport.
According to the PHF, Kruis has been appointed on an initial two-year contract.
In his new role, the Dutch expert will work to strengthen Pakistan's overall hockey structure, introduce modern coaching methods and enhance player development across all levels.
The federation said Kruis will design a comprehensive high-performance framework for both the senior and junior national teams with the aim of raising Pakistan's standards to meet international benchmarks.
Kruis is scheduled to join the Pakistan team at the start of the upcoming hockey World Cup. Following the tournament, he will lead preparations for the Asian Games and other major international competitions.
