Summary PCB keeps Pakistan players’ central contract details private while introducing domestic cricket requirements and maintaining selection flexibility across formats.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - The Pakistan Cricket Board has decided not to publicly disclose the central contracts of national team players.
The number of players receiving contracts and their respective categories will remain confidential, according to the board.
The PCB said that contracts issued under different tracks will not be made public, adding that the number of contracted players and their distribution is a matter related to selection policy.
The board has also introduced specific domestic cricket requirements for centrally contracted players. Depending on their contract category, players will be required to participate in a set number of first-class, List A, and T20 matches.
Sources said players have been informed about their domestic cricket commitments, with a possibility that centrally contracted players may be required to feature in up to five first-class matches and 10 List A games.
Players have also been instructed to remain available for domestic cricket whenever there are no international assignments. Those included in central contracts will remain eligible to represent Pakistan across all three formats.
Sources added that players from any contract category could be selected for the national team whenever required.
