(Web Desk) - Preparations for the 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL 11) closing ceremony are in full swing, with rehearsals already underway ahead of Sunday’s final, according to league chief executive Salman Naseer.
Speaking about arrangements for the title clash, Naseer said work on the stage and other ceremony-related setup is progressing smoothly and final preparations are now being completed.
He also urged fans to reach the stadium by 6:30pm so they can watch the closing ceremony and the build-up to the final without missing the action.
Naseer said supporters are being advised to arrive early to ensure smooth entry and avoid last-minute rush outside the venue.
He also confirmed that the PSL 11-winning team will take the trophy on a city tour after the final, giving local fans in the champions’ home city a chance to celebrate the title.
While discussing recent matches, Naseer praised the strong turnout during the qualifier in Karachi, saying the crowd response was highly encouraging. He noted that fan attendance exceeded previous levels and created an electric atmosphere at the stadium.
According to him, the turnout at one point became so large that stadium gates had to be temporarily closed to manage entry and maintain safety.
PSL 11 is now heading towards its final stretch, with Hyderabad Kingsmen taking on Islamabad United in Eliminator 2. Hyderabad booked their place after knocking out Multan Sultans in Eliminator 1, while Islamabad dropped into the second eliminator after losing the qualifier to Peshawar Zalmi.
Zalmi have already secured their place in the final and will meet the winner of Eliminator 2 on Sunday
