Babar, who is leading Peshawar Zalmi, scored 43 runs in the clash against Lahore Qalandars and reached 4,004 runs mark. He became the first batter in PSL history to cross 4,000 career runs with a career strike rate of 127.92.
Fellow team-mate Fakhar Zaman is a distant second with 3,018 runs.
Babar has represented three different teams in the Pakistan Super League: Islamabad United, Karachi Kings, and Peshawar Zalmi.
On April 9, Babar became the fastest player to reach 12,000 runs in T20 cricket, achieving the feat in just 338 innings during a PSL 11 match. He surpassed the previous record held by Chris Gayle, who took 343 innings, with Virat Kohli in third place needing 360 innings.
