Natalie Geisenberger won the World Cup womens singles luge race at Whistler Sliding Centre on Saturday, edging German teammate and Olympic champion Tatjana Hufner.Geisenberger had a two-run time of 1 minute, 23.439 seconds. Tatjana Hufner finished in 1:23.482, and Russias Tatiana Ivanova was third in 1:23.606.Germany also won the relay event in 2:18.773.The meet is the first major international luge competition at the venue since the 2010 Winter Olympics, when Georgian athlete Nodar Kumaritashvili died in a crash.
