Summary Ex-Olympians said that the PHF was not serious regarding preparations for Olympic Games.

Federation has committed a blunder for not driving senior players out from International Hockey after Asian Games.The Hockey Federation should take steps to promote the national games but the decision-makers are working against the national interests.Ex Olympian Qamar Ibrahim said that it was right to penalise senior players over discipline violation during Europe visit but it was not fair to depend on the junior players in such mega event of Olympic Games.Sohial Abbas, Rehan Butt and Salman Akber would not join in first Asian Champions Trophy hockey tournament to be played in September in China.Likewise, ex-Olympian Ayyaz Mahmood is also unable to understand the logic of Hockey Federation. He warned that if government does not adopt a comprehensive strategy for Olympian Games, the national team would lose its confidence.
