Summary PFF has announced the name of 22 players to participate in Clash of the Titans Football Series.
Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has announced the name of 22 players to participate in the “Clash of The Titans Football Series” against archrivals India which would be held in United Kingdom.According to a press release issued here on Thursday by PFF, Adnan Farooq Ahmed is appointed Captain of Pakistan National Football Team by Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) and the National team is leaving for United Kingdom from Islamabad on Saturday, 27August to participate in the “Clash of The Titans Football Series” against archrivals India. Newly appointed captain Adnan in his statement said that I am honored to be captaining Pakistan in all my 9 years as a professional this will be my greatest honourIt is long-standing rivalry, Pakistan and India will this summer lock horns on the football pitch for the first time in UK. Billed as the “Clash of the Titans”, the Asian sub-continent’s most powerful sides will meet on September 3 at Derby Pride Park and on September 9 in Glasgow, Scotland. It is expected that these matches shall be graced by a large community of Pakistani living in England which shall greatly boost the morale of our team.It is pertinent to mention that PFF, All India Football Federation (AIFF) and TouchSky Sports have decided to dedicate the Clash of The Titans Football Match on September 3, 2011 in the memory of the three innocent young men (Haroon Jehan, Shehzad Ali & Abdul Musavir) who were killed in Birmingham during the recent riots in UK.The squad of the National Team include; Muhammad Umer (Goal Keeper), Yousuf Ejaz Butt (Goal Keeper), Jahngir Khan (Goal Keeper), Adnan Farooq Ahmed (Captain) (MF), Haji Muhammad (DF), Alamgir Khan (DF), Manzoor Ahmed (DF), Ahsan Ullah(DF), Shabbir Khan(DF), Atif Bashir Qureshi (DF), Saddam Hussain (MF), Faisal Iqbal (Vice Captain) (DF), Mehmood Khan (MF), Muhammad Adil (MF), Husnain Abbas (FW), Muhammad Rizwan Asif (FW), Syed Arif Hussain(MF), Muhammad Ikram (FW), Hassan Naveed Bashir (FW), Kaleem Ullah(MF), Muhammad Ali (MF) and Rehan Munir (FW).While the officials includes; U.F. Tariq Lutfi (Head Coach/Chief of Delegation), Syed Nasir Ismail (Assistant Coach), Gohar Zaman (Assistant Manger/Assistant Coach), Muhammad Aslam Khan (Goalkeeper Coach) and Sardar Naveed Haider Khan (Director Marketing PFF).
