Spains Luis Leon Sanchez won the ninth stage of the Tour de France, a 208-km trek from Issoire.Thomas Voeckler was second and fellow Frenchman Sandy Casar finished third.Voeckler took the overall lead away from Norways Thor Hushovd.Kazakh Alexandre Vinokourov and Belgian Jurgen Van den Broeck pulled out of the race after being caught in a massive crash, breaking Vinokourov’s leg.Later in the stage, 35 kms from the finish line, a television car hit two members of the five-man breakaway at the front of the race, Spains Juan Antonio Flecha and Dutchman Johnny Hoogerland.While Flecha hit the tarmac, Hoogerland was sent flying into a roadside barbed-wire fence but both were able to make it back on their bikes.
