Summary Edvald Hagen won the sixth stage of the Tour de France while Thor Hushovd retained the overall lead.
Norways Edvald Boasson Hagen of Team Sky covered 226.5 kilometres distance in five hours, 13 minutes and 37 seconds to claim first Tour stage win.Australias Matt Goss was second while Thor Hushovd finished third. However, Thor Hushovd maintained overall lead in the event.
