Summary British cyclist Mark Cavendish has won the fifth stage of Tour de France cycle race.
The Slovenian cyclist Janez Brajkovic met with an accident at the start of the 5th stage when he collided with his teammate.The 164-kilometre fifth stage was won by Mark Cavendish of Britain when he covered the distance in 3 hours, 38 minutes and 22 seconds. However, Thor Hushovd of Noeway retained the overall leader’s yellow jersey.
