Sports festival for transgender persons organized in Peshawar

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - Transgender Sports Gala was organized at Qayyum Stadium in Peshawar.

According to details, more than fifty transgender persons participated in different games including cricket, tug-of-war, football and badminton, cycling, athletics and musical chairs.

The organizers of the sports gala said that transgender persons are not promoted in many fields. This event has also been organized for their entertainment. Competition position holders will then compete in other districts.

At the end of the games, cash prizes, medals and trophies worth Rs1.9 million were distributed among participants at Qayyum Sports Stadium.
