Summary Lanka's authorities will travel to India to seek players inclusion in new Twenty20 league.

Sri Lanka Cricket media manager Brian Thomas said his chairman Somachandra de Silva and secretary Nishantha Ranatunga could travel to India later Wednesday or a little early.The Board of Control for Cricket in India has banned its players from taking part in the inaugural Sri Lankan Premier League, claiming Sri Lanka is not organising the tournament on its own and is taking substantial help from a private entrepreneur. Twelve Indian players including Praveen Kumar, Munaf Patel and Ravichandran Ashwin had been approached by the league.However, an official of the Indian cricket board, who did not wish to be named since he is not authorized to speak to the media, said a meeting between officials of the two boards had not yet been confirmed.As of now, there has not been any official correspondence regarding any meeting on the issue of the Sri Lankan Twenty20 league, he said.Players from other countries who are expected to play in the league, which will be staged in Colombo from July 19 to Aug. 4, include New Zealands Daniel Vettori, former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi and Chris Gayle and Kieron Pollard of West Indies.
