(Reuters) - Seven of Formula One’s 10 teams united in a joint statement on Wednesday (March 4) threatening legal action against a confidential settlement between the governing FIA and Ferrari over the Italian team’s 2019 power unit.

Alpha Tauri, McLaren, Mercedes, Racing Point, Red Bull and Williams responded to last week’s announcement by the FIA that they had reached a settlement with Ferrari following an investigation into the power unit in the 2019 car.

Haas and Alfa Romeo, who both use Ferrari engines, did not sign the joint statement.
