Summary Barcelona beat Manchester United in the Champions League Final at the Wembley Stadium in London.
In the final of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) Champions league, the Spanish football club, Barcelona outplayed their English rivals, Manchester United 3-1 to become the European champions.Barcelona took the lead in the match when Rodriguez scored their first goal on the 27th minute but shortly after Manchester United struck back as Wayne Rooney scored the equalizer on the 34th minute. In the second half, Barcelona’s star player Lionel Messi scored another goal on the 60th minutes to take the lead and then just nine minutes later, David Villa scored another goal as Barca stamped their authority in the match.In the nerve barking match, Barca defended superbly keeping the score to 3-1 until the final whistle blew. This is the second time Barcelona has defeated Manchester United in the final of the Champions leagues. A similar situation was seen in 2009 when Barca won and Man United finished runners up.With the win, Barcelona became the European champions for the fourth time, winning the trophy in 1992, 2006, 2009 and 2011.
