Cricket squad set to play Caribbean series under Afridi

Summary PCB announced a 16-man squad led by Captain Shahid Afridi for the series against West Indies.

Pakistan Captain Shahid Afridi retained the office for the T-20 and one day international matches, as the team heads for the Caribbean on April 14. On the other hand, Misbahul Haq will captain the team in the test matches. Senior batsman Younas Khan, all rounder Abdul Razzaq, wicket keeper Kamran Akmal and pacer Umar Gul have been dropped from the team. Debuting players Usman Salahuddin, Hammad Azam, Aizaz Cheema and Wicket-keeper Muhammad Salman have been called in to replace the senior players Taufeeq Umer has been included in the squad after six years. Other players include Muhammad Hafeez, Ahmed Shahzad, Asad Shafiq, Misbahul Haq, Umer Akmal, Abdur Rehman, Saeed Ajmal, Tanveer Ahmed, Wahab Riaz and Junaid Khan.The first and the only T-20 match will be played on April 21. The team will play five one-day internationals while announcement for two test matches will be made later.
