Some of the worlds best tennis players, including world No 1 Rafael Nadal and No 2 Novak Djokovic, played a football match to raise funds for the Japanese earthquake and tsunami victims.Tennis stars went up against a local club ‘Fort Lauderdale Strikers’ for a friendly match. The match, featured two halves of 20 minutes each and 15 tennis stars played, which ended with a 4-2 victory for the strikers. Djokovic captained the football team as Marcos Baghdatis and Andy Murray scored one goal each. The tennis stars received enthusiastic backing from a crowd that included a host of children.The event was followed by a dinner and proceeds from the two events went to the American Red Cross relief efforts in Japan. Thousands have people have been killed and misplaced due to the earthquake and tsunami in Japan on March 11.
