Summary Ireland beat Holland by 6 wickets in Group B match played Eden Gardens, Kolkata on Friday.
Ireland won the toss against Holland and sent them to bat first.Ireland’s opening batsmen Paul Robert Stirling scored a magnificent 101 runs in 72 balls. He was caught out by Pieter Seelaar’s ball. At the moment both the batsmen on the pitch are building their tempo.In the previous innings, Ireland won the toss and invited Holland to bat first. Ireland was looking to bowl the team out on a low total but Holland had a different plan. Middle order batsmen, Ryan Doeschate scored a 106 runs in just 108 balls along with Holland captain William Borren who scored 84 runs 82 balls to give Holland a total of 306 runs in 50 overs. Holland’s last four wickets fell on the last four balls of the last over and all of them were run out. From Ireland’s side, Paul Robert Stirling and John Mooney both took two wickets.
